Venancio Bortzaioriz received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Julio Vera came out and tried to block the shot, but Venancio Bortzaioriz slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 22nd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Wincenty Tarka came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincenty Tarka in the 30th minute of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wincenty Tarka in the 33rd minute of the match. Tomás Berart made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Wincenty Tarka managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Lacra Unida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wincenty Tarka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute Wincenty Tarka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomás Berart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Felix Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Berart. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tomás Berart, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tomás Berart showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Venancio Jerardo hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wincenty Tarka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Berart was a little too slow when Cristian Sancho got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-4. 94 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tomás Berart made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
