Thanks to some nice moves Edward Mcdonald could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Florencio Cutberto however easily saved by the left post. In the 38th minute of the match, Monty Rogers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Florencio Cutberto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 39 played minutes USA got a freekick which was hit by Edward Mcdonald. In the 41st minute Froilan Donostia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Mcdonald could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Florencio Cutberto made a huge save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cassius Byrne was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Monty Rogers in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florencio Cutberto saved SPORTIVO BELLA VISTA SBV from getting behind. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Froilan Donostia in the 63rd minute of the match. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Cutberto having to interfere. USA made a substitution. The crowd rose to their feet as Froilan Donostia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marco Day. That made the score 0-2 in the 70 minute of play. Florencio Cutberto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2.
