Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Julian Murillo kicked off to start the match. Eliseo Mina might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thomás Toscano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Mina ran back to his position shaking his head. After 9 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. 13 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Sousa came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Sousa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thomás Toscano. Capibaribe Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Mina in the 22nd minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Sousa in the 25th minute of play. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Denislav Mesalski with Wilton Fontes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Anthony Alvarado hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Sousa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thomás Toscano made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Moises Gayoso kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Capibaribe Stars got a freekick which was hit by Denislav Mesalski. Milagros Fraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Thomás Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 64th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Thomás Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The throw-in from Albino Gaskon in the 72nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julian Murillo got free with Thomás Toscano in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Urbano in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Thomás Toscano in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thomás Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Tenorio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thomás Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. 94 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thomás Toscano. Rafael Gallo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
