Fokke Meijeringh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Fokke Meijeringh came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Fokke Meijeringh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 24th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fokke Meijeringh having to interfere. With an all-out effort, De Kasteelheren's Dante Lacasa threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anatoliy Gvozdevych, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by De Kasteelheren's Anatoliy Gvozdevych. In the 93rd minute, Mexico's Joel Gaona ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fokke Meijeringh. Fokke Meijeringh yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3.
