When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Joel Gaona sped through KS Blizne's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgar Gregorczyk. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aureliusz Dlugi in the 29th minute. Edgar Gregorczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 31st minute of play. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. The ball had pretty good speed, but Edgar Gregorczyk firmly grabbed it by the left post. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Lautaro Mancebo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Edgar Gregorczyk. That made the score 2-2 in the 63 minute of play.
