Iván Arraz hit a great ball. In the 13th minute of the match Luz Tejedor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kamal Pahlevi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bernardo España kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Leonard Treppa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 18 minute of play. In the 21st minute, Pitin Vallejo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of play forced Tirant lo Blanch's goalkeeper Kamal Pahlevi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
