RIVER PINAMAR fc's Jorge Cutberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save RIVER PINAMAR fc from getting a goal against them. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Burni in the 29th minute of play. RIVER PINAMAR fc's Jorge Cutberto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save RIVER PINAMAR fc from getting a goal against them. After 34 played minutes RIVER PINAMAR fc got a freekick which was hit by Leon Benet. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Jorge Cutberto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Juliano Álvarez came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juliano Álvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Cutberto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Honorio Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. RIVER PINAMAR fc's Jorge Cutberto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 65th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when RIVER PINAMAR fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humberto Marin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Juliano Álvarez could shoot a difficult shot in the 68th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. RIVER PINAMAR fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juliano Álvarez in the 80th minute. Anastasio Burni's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Julio Vera firmly grabbed it by the left post.
