An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 12th minute of play forced Jarana FC's goalkeeper Tadeo Distiratsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Chile's Gerardo Pozo getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jarana FC's Tadeo Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 15th minute of play. Tadeo Distiratsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 18th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Jarana FC defense, Orlando Casaus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tadeo Distiratsu. The Jarana FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tadeo Distiratsu should have stopped the shot. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tadeo Distiratsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Wilfredo Gitano might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
