Karem Eagles took the corner. Namık Hinoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play. Ersan Adalı who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 36thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Namık Hinoğlu having to interfere. Mehmet Faydalı hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Mehmet Faydalı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Binali Akgöl, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 69th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Namık Hinoğlu.
