Cristian Sancho was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Dobromir Klawki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24th match minute, Jupiter Siemiatycze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Taka Sowa to maneuver through the defense. After 25 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Arias. In the 29thth minute of the game Jonas Berggren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Qin Yang De stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Qin Yang De tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbyszko Pieprz in the 32nd minute of the match. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita, in the 33rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. If Jonas Berggren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dobromir Klawki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Jonas Berggren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Jonas Berggren could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Jupiter Siemiatycze's Dobromir Klawki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 44th minute of play. Agustín Saelices's late challenge caught a Jupiter Siemiatycze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustín Saelices helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ecuador's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Jonas Berggren scored to the left of an out of position Julio Vera, making the score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
