Lautaro Navarro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Boerescu in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gică Boerescu in the 5th minute of play forced Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Alex Team getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Robert Angheluță hit a great ball. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Iacob Nistor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Edmundo Espiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iacob Nistor was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Iacob Nistor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 16th minute of the match. 17 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundo Espiga came free, but Iacob Nistor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Cornel Bodiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Honduras's attentive Luca Espinar managed to snatch the ball when Florin Aluchei made a throw-in in the 33rd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 44th minute of play forced Alex Team's goalkeeper Iacob Nistor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Alex Team's zone, Moises Tafalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iacob Nistor came out of the goal and Moises Tafalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Robert Angheluță was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xavier Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Iacob Nistor made a huge save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 73 minutes into the game, when Esteban Carvallo put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Honduras:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alex Team:s goal. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Alex Team's Gică Boerescu. But to his dismay, Gică Boerescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Iacob Nistor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xavier Costa's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. A collision led to Alex Team getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Marin Cantemir hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xavier Costa got free with Iacob Nistor in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honduras's attentive Valentín Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Virgil Achifoaiei made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. Honduras's attentive Luca Espinar managed to snatch the ball when Virgil Achifoaiei made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 95 minutes, Xavier Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute, Xavier Costa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iacob Nistor. The goal made the score 1-4. Honduras played a much better game than Alex Team and deserved their victory. The Alex Team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
