Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mandrake fc's Herauso Sarro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Tulio Saura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Apolo Montero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Apolo Montero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felix Montenegro in the 14th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 16th minute of play forced Mandrake fc's goalkeeper Apolo Montero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Mandrake fc's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Mandrake fc's Apolo Montero did a great save. In the 18th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Montero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Apolo Montero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 29 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apolo Montero was left in no man's land by his defense there! 32 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Mandrake fc's Apolo Montero. Apolo Montero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th match minute, Mandrake fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavian Quintero to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the match, Mandrake fc's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Apolo Montero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herauso Sarro made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 39thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Julio Vera would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Apolo Montero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Apolo Montero quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mandrake fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Mandrake fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulino Huguet didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Luis Andino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Mandrake fc players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Apolo Montero. Apolo Montero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 54th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apolo Montero was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Cugat Lara might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cugat Lara ran back to his position shaking his head. After 63 played minutes Mandrake fc got a freekick which was hit by Tulio Saura. Tulio Saura's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tulio Saura helped the player get up and apologised. Tulio Saura kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apolo Montero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 70th minute, Agustín Saelices made a precise shot to the right of Apolo Montero. Mandrake fc's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Jago Abasalo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Apolo Montero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 76 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Apolo Montero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. After 83 played minutes Mandrake fc got a freekick which was hit by Herauso Sarro. After 85 minutes, Herauso Sarro made it 1-8 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Apolo Montero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 90th minute. Apolo Montero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Juan Sebastián Puig showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-9 in the 92 minute of play.
