The supporters of Cats and dogs booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Facundo Cadaval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Hamard, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Emmanuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cats and dogs's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo scored to the left of an out of position Joe Camp, making the score, 1-0. In the 17th minute of the match Cats and dogs got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicolas Hamard ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joe Camp made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Hamard in the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Joe Camp in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Facundo Cadaval hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Luca Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joe Camp having to interfere. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Hamard in the 35th minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joe Camp in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Joe Camp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

55 minutes into the match, Nicolas Hamard dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Cats and dogs's zone, Luca Zorita stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joe Camp came out of the goal and Luca Zorita tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Alberto Tafalla made a precise shot to the right of Joe Camp. Cats and dogs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After 74 minutes of play, Mexico's Joel Gaona made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joe Camp was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaétan Bouchard in the 77th minute. Joel Gaona scored 5-1 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joe Camp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cats and dogs's Joe Camp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 94th minute of play. Gaétan Bouchard came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dante Lacasa could save by the left post. There was no doubt that Mexico were the better team. Mexico's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
