Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vatan Mert, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vatan Mert in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 14 minutes into the game, Nazil Açıkgöz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21st minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necati Ünsi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cristian Sancho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a free kick in the 24th minute. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Necati Ünsi made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Vatan Mert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 33rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vatan Mert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Necati Ünsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KOZAĞAÇSPOR the free kick. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cihan Terim went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led KOZAĞAÇSPOR's Cihan Terim to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vatan Mert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vatan Mert in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nazil Açıkgöz got free with Julio Vera in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when KOZAĞAÇSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karol Kalak didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Necati Ünsi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Necati Ünsi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 86th minute of play. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Necati Ünsi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. In the 95th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Necati Ünsi quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
