An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 22nd minute of play forced Labbeville's goalkeeper Lamine Araujo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eliseo Noboa came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Costa Rica fans jumped to their feet. Gustave Parisse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Axel Tasis was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Maurice Nay left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Labbeville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Maurice Nay went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurice Nay in the 69th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurice Nay in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Lautaro Puig reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lamine Araujo. The goal made the score 3-1. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Lamine Araujo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jérémy Delépine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Labbeville booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Noboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseo Noboa might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lamine Araujo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Noboa ran back to his position shaking his head. Jérémy Delépine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
