Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 7 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edoardo Rinaldi. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Juan Rubio hit a great ball. 16 minutes into the match, Alfonso Aloisi notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Valdieri booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Dennis Berardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valdieri's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Berardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edoardo Rinaldi in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 26th minute of the match Valdieri got a corner. Costa Rica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dennis Berardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Valdieri's corner Dennis Berardo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benito Sanz quite easily take care of the ball. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dennis Berardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 30th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Berardo came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes Valdieri got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Aloisi. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Rinaldi in the 44th minute of the match. Alberto Andreola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edoardo Rinaldi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Alfonso Aloisi put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. In the 55th minute Dennis Berardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alan Moruga charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Moruga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. When Edoardo Rinaldi came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Valdieri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edoardo Rinaldi couldn't finish the play. Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, Dennis Berardo notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 77 minutes into the game, Valdieri's Edoardo Rinaldi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Alexander Carballo hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Berardo in the 81st minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Aaron Alcocer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alberto Andreola. That made the score 5-1 in the 83 minute of play. In the 89th minute of the match Dennis Berardo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 91st minute of the match Dennis Berardo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. In the 94th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Andreola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dennis Berardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Edoardo Rinaldi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 98thth minute of the game Edoardo Rinaldi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valdieri walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
