Marcos Cotilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Karsten Karlsen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Överås IK's zone, Abraham Alguacil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Davide Galván came out of the goal and Abraham Alguacil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Karsten Karlsen scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 2-0. Davide Galván showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidoro Sarmiento in the 16th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Marcus Bergsten sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Marcus Bergsten tried to sneak it across the goal line. Panama's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Marcus Bergsten scored to the left of an out of position Marcos Cotilla, making the score, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 30th minute of play forced Överås IK's goalkeeper Davide Galván to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Karsten Karlsen came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Överås IK's Marcus Bergsten shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 33rd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marcos Cotilla but with some difficulty. Davide Galván made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Berganza in the 35th minute of play. Davide Galván showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Panama were awarded a corner. Abraham Alguacil went to the cornerflag to take it. Jose Carita was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Urban Jonsson hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Davide Galván showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 46th minute of the match. Davide Galván took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Berganza made a kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Davide Galván successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 53 minutes into the match, Överås IK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Davide Galván reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davide Galván was a little too slow when Tomas Berganza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Berganza in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davide Galván prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Urban Jonsson kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davide Galván saved Överås IK from getting behind. 70 minutes into the game, Jan Hydén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 74 minutes into the match, Överås IK's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Davide Galván reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Överås IK booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Cambeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Berganza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Davide Galván came out and tried to block the shot, but Tomas Berganza slotted it home off the left post making it 5-2 in the 78th minute. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. Davide Galván took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Karsten Karlsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Cotilla having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Överås IK's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Davide Galván reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Panama players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Överås IK.
