In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabian Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Tomas Illescas scored 1-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfons Lövgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Rasmus Elg hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Alfons Lövgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Bernardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guillermo Mariano made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Bahrtys Talanger's Kåre Adelsköld. It was Mattias Strömberg who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Kåre Adelsköld heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfons Lövgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Silva in the 59th minute of play. Alfons Lövgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Arvid Rang stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Arvid Rang tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bahrtys Talanger's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
