Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Agustín Saelices might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alfons Lövgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Agustín Saelices ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute, Rasmus Elg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfons Lövgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Deckberg charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tobias Deckberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tobias Deckberg hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. 11 minutes into the match, Bahrtys Talanger's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Alfons Lövgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 22 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfons Lövgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alfons Lövgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Silva in the 33rd minute. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Alfons Lövgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 37th minute of the match. The supporters of Bahrtys Talanger booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Hermansson in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Fabian Hermansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Fabian Hermansson scored 2-3 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardo Silva's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. In the 76th match minute, Bahrtys Talanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Ali Tunçaslan to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes in the game Daniel Zorita after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved Alfons Lövgren. A very good opportunity. 80 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Hermansson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Silva in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Hermansson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabian Hermansson in the 92nd minute of the match. Ecuador played a much better game than Bahrtys Talanger and deserved their victory. The Bahrtys Talanger players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
