Sleepy Soldiers FC's Andres Oper started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Joonatan De Vlaeminck in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Francisco Carballar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's goalkeeper Joonatan De Vlaeminck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. 9 minutes into the game, Sleepy Soldiers FC's Andres Oper nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Pliego made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Manoel da Fonseca quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Pedro Indiano, made in the 14th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the match, Andres Oper had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Thiago Pliego. Chile's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andres Oper was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Joonatan De Vlaeminck made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joonatan De Vlaeminck saved Sleepy Soldiers FC from getting behind. Orlando Casaus got in the 27th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Joonatan De Vlaeminck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Sleepy Soldiers FC from getting a goal against them. Joonatan De Vlaeminck stood somewhat misplaced when Mariano Lacasa came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 35 minute. 38 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's Andres Oper sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sleepy Soldiers FC were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Chile's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frits Cromefeldt took the corner. Sleepy Soldiers FC's Frits Cromefeldt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Thiago Pliego in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Andres Oper struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Thiago Pliego didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sleepy Soldiers FC. In the 48th match minute, Sleepy Soldiers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andres Oper to maneuver through the defense.

57 minutes into the match, Sleepy Soldiers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Lacasa came free, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joonatan De Vlaeminck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joonatan De Vlaeminck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Andres Oper's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thiago Pliego read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Chile's Gerardo Pozo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Joonatan De Vlaeminck in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 91 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joonatan De Vlaeminck. Sleepy Soldiers FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Lacasa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. After some careless play in the Sleepy Soldiers FC defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joonatan De Vlaeminck. The Sleepy Soldiers FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joonatan De Vlaeminck should have stopped the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chile fully deserved thier win.
