Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Stuart Banks started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 6 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Stuart Banks came free, but Thiago Pliego reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Mattias Sawyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. 9 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mattias Sawyer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mattias Sawyer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Grant Andrews made in the 13th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Chile's Felix Garrido. Mattias Sawyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Chile booed when Memphis Grizzlies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Jones didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Mattias Sawyer made a huge save. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. After some careless play in the Memphis Grizzlies defense, Mariano Lacasa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mattias Sawyer. The Memphis Grizzlies fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mattias Sawyer should have stopped the shot. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Banks, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Mattias Sawyer made a huge save. Calvin Croft sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Mariano Lacasa made the kick off in the second half. Mattias Sawyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute of the match Chile got a corner. Memphis Grizzlies's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mariano Lacasa ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mariano Lacasa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mattias Sawyer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Memphis Grizzlies's Calvin Croft got a free kick in the 55th minute. Mariano Lacasa might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mattias Sawyer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Lacasa ran back to his position shaking his head. Mattias Sawyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 57th minute of the match. The throw-in from Ronny Theobold in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Chile's Guillermo Fontirroig. Mattias Sawyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Mattias Sawyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 69 minutes into the match, Mariano Lacasa notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Memphis Grizzlies's Mattias Sawyer. Mattias Sawyer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Memphis Grizzlies made a substitution. Ian Prutton replaced Billy Watkinson. In the 76th minute Guillermo Fontirroig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Sawyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hayden Sharp got free with Thiago Pliego in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ty Hislop might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Thiago Pliego. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ty Hislop ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the match, Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ty Hislop. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mattias Sawyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mattias Sawyer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 94th minute of play forced Memphis Grizzlies's goalkeeper Mattias Sawyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Chile were the better team. Chile's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
