With an all-out effort, Mexico's Hampus Gallberg threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joel Gaona, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 33rd minute of the match Maximilian Seger sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa skillfully saved the ball. Lorenzo Cazalla charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lorenzo Cazalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Mansfield Town FC's Hampus Gallberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Mansfield Town FC from getting a goal against them. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Mansfield Town FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. In the 46th minute Tor Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hampus Gallberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joel Gaona was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 77th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 78 played minutes Mansfield Town FC got a freekick which was hit by Martin Wennerquist. When Lautaro Mancebo came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lautaro Mancebo couldn't finish the play. In the 81st minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mansfield Town FC's Michael Gudmundsson was substituted for Andreas Sandell. Mansfield Town FC made a substitution. Frans Blixt replaced Tor Olofsson. 84 minutes in the game, Michael Gudmundsson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Joel Gaona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Mexico were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
