Gazi Tuğkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. In the 5th minute, Arif Tugay Değirmencioğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute, Eliseo Noboa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Eliseo Noboa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Gazi Tuğkan. The goal made the score 1-0. Lefter Demirbaş received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the game, AKHisaR's Lefter Demirbaş nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Gazi Tuğkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AKHisaR's Baran Alp Kose quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Hugo Ferrant, made in the 27th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Efrain Moruga in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AKHisaR's Arif Tugay Değirmencioğlu. In the 31st minute Lefter Demirbaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costa Rica were furious when Alexander Carballo was red carded, 33 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Alexander Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Gazi Tuğkan made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Eliseo Noboa sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gazi Tuğkan. Eliseo Noboa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 43rd minute, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gazi Tuğkan. Gazi Tuğkan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lefter Demirbaş was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the AKHisaR defense, Juan Rubio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gazi Tuğkan. The AKHisaR fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gazi Tuğkan should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the game, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gazi Tuğkan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by AKHisaR's Aziz Kıvılcım. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gazi Tuğkan having to interfere. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseo Noboa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gazi Tuğkan having to make a save. In the 81stth minute of the game Lautaro Puig who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AKHisaR's Gazi Tuğkan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juan Rubio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gazi Tuğkan having to interfere. When Alan Moruga fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Alan Moruga a yellow card for diving instead. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Hugo Ferrant in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AKHisaR's Aziz Kıvılcım. After a long run with the ball, Lautaro Puig did a trick in the 96th minute in front of AKHisaR's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 8-1.
