La Armada Buscapina's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Luca Rouco heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Chupan Moco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When La Armada Buscapina's Alejandro Papaggelatos in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Papaggelatos in the 53rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Lautaro Mancebo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Chupan Moco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alejandro Papaggelatos's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chupan Moco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 66th minute of play. La Armada Buscapina's Denílson Ronaldinho was substituted for Alejandro Papaggelatos. La Armada Buscapina's Casimiro Librado was substituted for Abdullatif Özdağ. La Armada Buscapina's 贺剑永 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Macos Graciani in the 71 minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Macos Graciani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Denílson Ronaldinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chants of La Armada Buscapina echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Mexico had held the ball for most of the match.
