The supporters of Gumisie Rybnik booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Chicote didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miromir Pazura made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miromir Pazura having to interfere. In the 24th minute Patricio Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miromir Pazura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
