Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Costa Rica's Axel Tasis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Mariachi FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Cristiano Ayala hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeraldo Duñabeitia in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benito Sanz saved Costa Rica from getting behind. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Mariachi FC's Rainerio Tassara. But to his dismay, Rainerio Tassara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogelio Flores fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Efrain Moruga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rainerio Tassara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 26th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Marcos Arbieto notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeraldo Duñabeitia in the 32nd minute of play. Mariachi FC were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Zavier Reveco took the corner. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Jeraldo Duñabeitia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Zelipe Beca took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zavier Reveco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rainerio Tassara in the 53rd minute. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 54th minute, when Marcos Arbieto scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 0-6. Zelipe Beca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. The supporters of Mariachi FC booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeraldo Duñabeitia in the 68th minute of play. Mariachi FC's Marcos Arbieto got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The attack was good, but when Zavier Reveco in the 73rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Baraquiel Isasa kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Zavier Reveco shot from long distance in the 78th minute, but Benito Sanz was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. After 82 minutes of play, Mariachi FC's Zavier Reveco made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marcos Arbieto struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mariachi FC. After 87 minutes, Rogelio Flores mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mariachi FC and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rogelio Flores hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga.
