In the 21st minute, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Robbie Southgate. Robbie Southgate yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 26th minute, Agustín Saelices got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 高坤源's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Robbie Southgate made a huge save. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Independente F.C. Limeira's goalkeeper Robbie Southgate, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robbie Southgate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 31st minute of the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd match minute, Independente F.C. Limeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Barral to maneuver through the defense. 34 minutes into the match, Independente F.C. Limeira's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Robbie Southgate reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Robbie Southgate made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robbie Southgate was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when 高坤源 tried to sneak it across the goal line. 53 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robbie Southgate made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Limeira getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Dorian Linhares hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Independente F.C. Limeira's Robbie Southgate. Robbie Southgate was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Robbie Southgate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 69th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Amador Quinten thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Robbie Southgate, a very annoying self made goal in the 71st minute which led to 4-0. Robbie Southgate showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 74th minute of the match. If Dionisio Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Pedro Luís do Valle could shoot a difficult shot in the 78th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. In the 80th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Southgate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. The supporters of Independente F.C. Limeira booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniel Zorita didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robbie Southgate saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Zorita made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Independente F.C. Limeira's Robbie Southgate managed to reach the ball for a save. Ecuador's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
