Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Álmos Csáki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álmos Csáki in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Bruno Beldad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 9 minutes, Álmos Csáki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álmos Csáki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 11 minutes of play, Rapid's Pál Sugár made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Pál Sugár recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álmos Csáki, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Pál Sugár stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Pál Sugár tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antal Pádár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Rapid's Mátyás Seres got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Maximiliano Escribano came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximiliano Escribano couldn't finish the play. Antal Pádár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

54 minutes into the match, Rapid's goalkeeper Antal Pádár had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álmos Csáki, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ferenc Kásás during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Álmos Csáki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álmos Csáki in the 66th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Arturo Carvallo got a free kick in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the game, Álmos Csáki cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 73 played minutes Uruguay got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Sainz. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krisztián Sinkó in the 74th minute of the match. Antal Pádár took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79thth minute of the game Pál Sugár who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Antal Pádár made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Rapid's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Maximiliano Escribano 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Escribano got free with Antal Pádár in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Álmos Csáki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Álmos Csáki's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Álmos Csáki charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Álmos Csáki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Rapid's Álmos Csáki got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
