Efrain Moruga didn't get a good kick on the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Bernt Fredriksson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernt Fredriksson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Fredriksson in the 14th minute of play. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernt Fredriksson's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. After 21 played minutes ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★ got a freekick which was hit by Yaşar Dağtekin. 25 minutes into the game, ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★'s Bernt Fredriksson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Lautaro Puig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Hektor Dino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Aaron Alcocer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hektor Dino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 37 played minutes ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★ got a freekick which was hit by Yaşar Dağtekin. Metehan Tara hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. When Egemen Ilıcan fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★'s protests and gave Egemen Ilıcan a yellow card for diving instead. Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★'s Hektor Dino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Alcocer in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 92nd minute of the match Cristo Marques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the match Cristo Marques sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benito Sanz skillfully saved the ball. 94 minutes into the match, ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★'s Róbert Jánosi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ★ŞaNLı uRFa BiReCiK SPoR★ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Costa Rica had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
