FC Wil 1900's Lionel Paly proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save FC Wil 1900 from getting a goal against them. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Paly read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Lionel Paly made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Mariano Lacasa sent off a good shot on target. In the 45th minute Mariano Lacasa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lionel Paly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Lionel Paly made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mariano Lacasa to strike the kick off in the second half. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tory Pryor in the 56th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lionel Paly having to make a save. Lionel Paly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Casaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Téo Rosa took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 90th minute of play forced FC Wil 1900's goalkeeper Lionel Paly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Curtiz Klein charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Curtiz Klein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Curtiz Klein kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Wil 1900 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Chile.
