The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Lacasa got free with Barra Gøl in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ronaldão Félix kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilfried Spaniol, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mariano Lacasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 79 minutes, Wilfried Spaniol made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Chile's Thiago Pliego tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 85th minute of the match, Wilfried Spaniol tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thiago Pliego saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thiago Pliego made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Wilfried Spaniol sent off a good shot on target. Wilfried Spaniol took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thiago Pliego. Thiago Pliego dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Chile's zone, Guilherme Arana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thiago Pliego came out of the goal and Guilherme Arana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
