Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juarês Donato in the 38th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Juarês Donato fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cris Courtois showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Gaona to make the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Wambalamba FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacek Przybyciel to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute João Carlos Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Robin Steckamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wambalamba FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Steckamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Donato, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Robin Steckamp in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
