Bruno Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Szczepan Zgonina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Curacao getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Harvey Doyle hit a great ball. After 31 played minutes, Milan Pogoń's Marian Bentkowski shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bruno Barrett came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Milan Pogoń reached it. Kyle Davies's late challenge caught a Milan Pogoń's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Bruno Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilbert Rydz in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Leon Walter ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Barrett was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 41st match minute, Milan Pogoń was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radowit Lipinski to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Rocco Owen fired a really elegant long shot, but 张锋弘 threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 44th minute Ebi Smolarek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Barrett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Szczepan Zgonina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Barrett. Curacao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Szczepan Zgonina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Szczepan Zgonina was the one to do the kick off. Bruno Barrett was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ebi Smolarek showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 53 minute of play. The Milan Pogoń fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Milan Pogoń's Szczepan Zgonina looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-10 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bruno Barrett made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marian Bentkowski in the 81st minute. Milan Pogoń's Zachary Rasialdo was substituted for Marian Bentkowski. 92 minutes into the match, Milan Pogoń's Gilbert Rydz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruno Barrett narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ryszard Bielatowicz shot from long distance in the 95th minute, but Bruno Barrett was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Curacao's Bruno Barrett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wlodzimierz Matela in the 97th minute of play. When the match was over Milan Pogoń could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Curacao throughout the match.
