The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcos Cotilla showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Haroldo Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 6th minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Abancens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Constitución's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Panama the free kick. A collision led to Sportivo Constitución getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Ubaldo Abancens hit a great ball. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haroldo Raymon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 18th minute of the match. Abraham Alguacil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Haroldo Raymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo Raymon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haroldo Raymon having to interfere. Haroldo Raymon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Sportivo Constitución's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Haroldo Raymon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panama's Abraham Alguacil was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Haroldo Raymon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Haroldo Raymon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Tomas Berganza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Sportivo Constitución's goal looked a bit too open when Isidoro Sarmiento came free, but Haroldo Raymon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosendo Napier hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Siro Argenis was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Sportivo Constitución getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Adan Celio hit a great ball. Tomas Berganza scored 0-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haroldo Raymon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 58th minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Haroldo Raymon. Haroldo Raymon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Sportivo Constitución's Herminio Abad was substituted for Benigno Chano. In the 65th match minute, Sportivo Constitución was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Argenis to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haroldo Raymon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The supporters of Panama booed when Sportivo Constitución was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Florian didn't get a good kick on the ball. Haroldo Raymon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Sarmiento, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Panama were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Sportivo Constitución's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Alguacil took the corner. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Abraham Alguacil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Haroldo Raymon quite easily take care of the ball. In the 79th minute, Isidoro Sarmiento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After 87 minutes, Abraham Alguacil mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama and the Sportivo Constitución players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Siro Argenis in the 91st minute of the match. Panama played a much better game than Sportivo Constitución and deserved their victory. The Sportivo Constitución players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
