Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Uruguay's Francisco Seco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the match, Sportivo Constitución's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Haroldo Raymon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Sportivo Constitución's Agustin Sotil nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joaquin Gayoso made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 12th minute, Kevin Carballal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benigno Chano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 13th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Joaquin Gayoso. Uruguay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Benigno Chano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sportivo Constitución's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uruguay the free kick. Benigno Chano kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Haroldo Raymon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Gisbert went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Francisco Seco, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 24 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Haroldo Raymon was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 29th minute Siro Argenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agustin Sotil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Joaquin Gayoso made a huge save. After 33 minutes of play Sportivo Constitución's Benigno Chano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Sportivo Constitución's Haroldo Raymon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Franco in the 35th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Constitución's zone, Camilo Franco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Raymon came out of the goal and Camilo Franco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Maximiliano Escribano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximiliano Escribano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 40th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Siro Argenis during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maximiliano Escribano scored 1-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Haroldo Raymon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Siro Argenis made a kick off. Camilo Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Sportivo Constitución's Haroldo Raymon. Haroldo Raymon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francisco Secos short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Haroldo Raymon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th match minute, Sportivo Constitución was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Ponc to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Sportivo Constitución's goalkeeper Haroldo Raymon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximiliano Escribano. If Maximiliano Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Raymon made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Francisco Seco sent off a good shot on target. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Haroldo Raymon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maximiliano Escribano hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Francisco Seco took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Haroldo Raymon to make any attempt to save it. After 86 played minutes Sportivo Constitución got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Napier. Osvaldo Ponc's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Ponc helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Sportivo Constitución was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Ponc didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute of the match Jaime Cazalla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Haroldo Raymon showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Uruguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
