Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Marin Luican in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 3 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Nanov fc's Felix Hosu got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Costel Gugulanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marin Luican narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Costel Gugulanu went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 15th minute, Axel Tasis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Costel Gugulanu sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Hosu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Felix Hosu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marin Luican breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Felix Hosu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th match minute, Nanov fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dacian Lupescu to maneuver through the defense. Nanov fc's Marin Luican proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Nanov fc from getting a goal against them. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Hosu in the 44th minute of play. Axel Tasis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 45thth minute, Marin Luican skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Nanov fc were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Nanov fc getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Călin Vochin hit a great ball. Felix Hosu struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nanov fc. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Felix Hosu made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 65thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Benito Sanz would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hugo Ferrant hit a great ball. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Hosu in the 70th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Costel Gugulanu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nanov fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Costel Gugulanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felix Hosu. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Gugulanu in the 96th minute of the match.
