Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 12 minutes, Aaron Alcocer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Pekárová rodinka players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Václav Křivan took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute Nebojša Bombis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pekárová rodinka's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Václav Křivan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Sanz. Václav Křivan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. After 39 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Pekárová rodinka players grew even worse after the yellow card. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Mathias Souto sent off a good shot on target. If Nebojša Bombis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Pereira in the 59th minute of play. Mathias Souto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Alan Moruga hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Ralondo Ansola came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Nebojša Bombis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Václav Křivan went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sylwester Pieprz having to interfere.
