If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marko Meerits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play. After 22 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. 25 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Vytautas Kalasiūnas came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, FC Hiiu Pallurid's Merdan Abesadze sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Merdan Abesadze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Hiiu Pallurid getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Merdan Abesadze hit a great ball. In the 59th minute, Tomas Illescas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marko Meerits. The goal made the score 1-1. Marko Meerits made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. FC Hiiu Pallurid's Merdan Abesadze got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 72 played minutes FC Hiiu Pallurid got a freekick which was hit by Julius Talumets. The supporters of FC Hiiu Pallurid booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Illescas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tomas Illescas got the opportunity to take care of a free kick, it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball hit the crossbar and flew out of bounds. After 91 played minutes FC Hiiu Pallurid got a freekick which was hit by Julius Talumets. The FC Hiiu Pallurid players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
