In the 20thth minute of the game Miguel Miralles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Samba Fotboll U21's Ivar Sjödin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 22 minutes, Tomas Berganza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panama's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Berganza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gösta Sjö kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Samba Fotboll U21's Ivar Sjödin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 33rd minute of play. Ivar Sjödin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Berganza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-8 in the 65 minute of play. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Samba Fotboll U21's goalkeeper Ivar Sjödin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Isidoro Sarmiento. In the 74th minute of the match Panama got a corner. Samba Fotboll U21's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Abraham Alguacil ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jose Carita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ivar Sjödin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Sjödin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84th play minutes Tomas Berganza shot 1-9, a short shot which went by Ivar Sjödin and just under the crossbar into goal. With an all-out effort, Panama's Ivar Sjödin threw himself towards the right post 87 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tomas Berganza, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Samba Fotboll U21's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Abraham Alguacil was slow to take the kick. During this time Panama's players had a chance to rest. Panama's Miguel Miralles was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ivar Sjödin in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 93 minutes, Ivar Sjödin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 95th minute, Tomas Berganza fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The Samba Fotboll U21 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Panama were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
