Jairo Unai was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bernabe Sotero kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After having played for 17 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute of the game Joshua Curbelo made a throw-in which Abram Luque played forward. Moises Fernandino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Jairo Unai made a huge save. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Moises Fernandino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Luque got free with Jairo Unai in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jairo Unai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the game, Luis Rubio threw the ball into play from the sideline. The Pontiac Bandit's Sixto Felipillo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The crowd rose to their feet as El Salvador's Moises Fernandino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jairo Unai. That made the score 2-0 after 39 minutes of play. After a defensive mix-up in The Pontiac Bandit's zone, Moises Fernandino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Unai came out of the goal and Moises Fernandino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Moises Fernandino made the kick off in the second half. Sixto Felipillo made in the 51st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Salvador's Jorge Magrina. Leopoldo Etor's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Etor helped the player get up and apologised. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the The Pontiac Bandit defense, Moises Fernandino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jairo Unai. The The Pontiac Bandit fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jairo Unai should have stopped the shot. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Joshua Curbelo with Abram Luque as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo Unai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jairo Unai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The throw-in from Jorge Magrina in the 73rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by The Pontiac Bandit's Everardo Raebert. After a rather tough play, The Pontiac Bandit's Elias Jakue got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute of the match Mateo Leguizamo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jairo Unai skillfully saved the ball. The Pontiac Bandit's Jairo Unai played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Luque in the 76th minute of play. Luis Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, The Pontiac Bandit was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Avellaneda to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Moises Fernandino. A sloppy throw-in by Luis Rubio in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by The Pontiac Bandit's Sixto Felipillo. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. El Salvador had won after a very even match.
