In the 8th minute, Jaime Pardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Unai having to interfere. Jairo Unai made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jaime Pardo in the 18th minute. Jaime Pardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo Unai read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. With a little luck, The Pontiac Bandit's Jairo Unai got control of the ball when Jaime Pardo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off.
