The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Moises Fernandino scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kjell Dahlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 6 minutes into the match, FC Bosses Bodega's goalkeeper Kjell Dahlberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. In the 7th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valentino Ferrant to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bosses Bodega's zone, Abram Luque stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell Dahlberg came out of the goal and Abram Luque tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Åke Malmberg in the 10th minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Luis Rubio got a free kick in the 13th minute. Kjell Dahlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Moises Fernandino in the 16th minute. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Bosses Bodega's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mateo Leguizamo was slow to take the kick. During this time El Salvador's players had a chance to rest. El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Kjell Dahlberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 18 minutes into the game, FC Bosses Bodega's Gösta Mårtensson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ricardo Zorita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a little luck, FC Bosses Bodega's Kjell Dahlberg got control of the ball when Moises Fernandino tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Bosses Bodega defense, Moises Fernandino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell Dahlberg. The FC Bosses Bodega fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell Dahlberg should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, FC Bosses Bodega's Kjell Dahlberg got control of the ball when Marco Tamayo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Moises Fernandino succeeded in the game's 41st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gösta Mårtensson to make the kick off. In the 50th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abram Luque to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to El Salvador getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Joshua Curbelo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Fernandino in the 55th minute of play forced FC Bosses Bodega's goalkeeper Kjell Dahlberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell Dahlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 61 played minutes, El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kjell Dahlberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in El Salvador reached it. After 61 played minutes FC Bosses Bodega got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Nykvist. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Ricardo Zorita successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 69 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Kock came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kjell Dahlberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Bosses Bodega made a substitution. After 92 played minutes FC Bosses Bodega got a freekick which was hit by Olov Kvist. When Mateo Leguizamo came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the El Salvador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mateo Leguizamo couldn't finish the play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. El Salvador had played much better football throughout.
