Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raimundo Santos in the 30th minute of play. Lucio Ur didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. In the 43rd minute, Celestino Sidro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Barış Yorangil in the 46th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Thiago Pliego stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mateusz Marajda's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Potrero! Lucio Ur went to the wrong direction when Mariano Lacasa was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 97 minutes into the match, C. A. Potrero's Özgür Onur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
