Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Dante Lacasa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dante Lacasa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matthias Zahn went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthias Zahn in the 22nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Zahn in the 25th minute of play. After 27 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Steven Bachmayr who took care of the corner kick. Joachim Krabbe kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match.
