Marko Ööpik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 45 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marko Ööpik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 66 played minutes Armageddon got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Di Stefano. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Legdeur in the 71st minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Armageddon's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Marko Ööpik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
