With a little luck, Armageddon's Marko Ööpik got control of the ball when Cassius Byrne tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Kööp in the 10th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cassius Byrne got free with Marko Ööpik in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 16 minutes into the match, Manole Miulescu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of USA's Marco Day. Marco Day was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marko Ööpik made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Cassius Byrne sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olaf Kööp in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Day saved USA from getting behind. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 27th minute. 27 minutes into the game, one of Armageddon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Armageddon:s Marko Ööpik showed great skill when he stopped Cassius Byrne:s penalty. Marco Day stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olaf Kööp's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 39 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Marko Ööpik, 1-1. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Kööp in the 48th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Armageddon made a substitution. Virgil Gentenaar replaced Gunnar Westerstrand. The wind increased when Michel Legdeur made the kick off in the second half. Michel Legdeur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Day read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. When the referee ended the match the USA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
