The supporters of Canada booed when Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Hartz didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Belgrano LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Steve Harris hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Canada's zone, Teodoro Hartz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jax Williamson came out of the goal and Teodoro Hartz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Koby Wright was slow to take the kick. During this time Canada's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Canada's corner Koby Wright fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rogério Ceni quite easily take care of the ball. Carroll Mansfield hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Teodoro Hartz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Canada's Jan Dixon got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Dixon in the 33rd minute of play. Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Koby Wright who took care of the corner kick. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Dixon in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Belgrano LOS PIRATAS defense, Jan Dixon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rogério Ceni. The Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rogério Ceni should have stopped the shot. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Koby Wright stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 51st minute, when Jan Dixon scored to the left of an out of position Rogério Ceni, making the score, 1-2. Jax Williamson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teodoro Hartz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS made a substitution. Guillermo Frank replaced Steve Harris. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Herbert Pracki was substituted for Teodoro Hartz. A sloppy throw-in by Joerg-Uwe Sieben in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Canada's Eric Hill. Joerg-Uwe Sieben made in the 62nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Canada's Eric Hill. When Navin Dale came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Belgrano LOS PIRATAS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Navin Dale couldn't finish the play. Jan Dixon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rogério Ceni made a huge save. The corner led Canada's Luka Harris to fire away a dangerous shot which Rogério Ceni despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jax Williamson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Pracki in the 74th minute of play. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carroll Mansfield in the 75th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Canada's goalkeeper Jax Williamson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The corner led Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Carroll Mansfield to fire away a dangerous shot which Jax Williamson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 79 played minutes Carroll Mansfield shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Canada's Jax Williamson to catch but Carroll Mansfield was lucky. It became 3-2 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After 81 played minutes Belgrano LOS PIRATAS got a freekick which was hit by Cumhur Günay. 87 minutes into the match, Canada's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Frank came free, but Jax Williamson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni got control of the ball when Jan Dixon tried to sneak it across the goal line. After taking down the ball on Canada's corner Theo Burton fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rogério Ceni quite easily take care of the ball. Joerg-Uwe Sieben made in the 92nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Guillermo Frank. In the 95th minute, Herbert Pracki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jax Williamson was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS could leave the field as winners, despite Canada having more of the ball for most of the match.
