Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hardas Dunđer in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joachim Högman. Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Illescas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Hardas Dunđer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guillermo Mariano got a throw-in 51 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Tomas Illescas. Freddie Bergren's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Hardas Dunđer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Hardas Dunđer got in the 90th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jonathan Ferrant handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The supporters of Bɪᴀɴᴄᴀ ŦС booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustav Kihlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
