An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 3rd minute of play forced CA Portugália's goalkeeper Rogério Soberano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogério Soberano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind CA Portugália's goalkeeper Rogério Soberano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Peru's Rolando Noboa got control of the ball when Carlos Fernando dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, CA Portugália's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Rogério Soberano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CA Portugália's Rogério Soberano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 29th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mario Jesus Jardel. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gu Xiang Zhou in the 37th minute of play. Peru's Alonso Berganza managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Serafino Gaitano in the 39 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Jesus Jardel got free with Rolando Noboa in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to CA Portugália getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Serafino Gaitano hit a great ball.

After a rather tough play, CA Portugália's Fernandinho Barral got a free kick in the 59th minute. Mario Jesus Jardel's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Jesus Jardel helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Mario Jesus Jardel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Serafino Gaitano with Gombal Sierra as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Eliseo Mina was extremely unlucky when he, in the 63rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Jesus Jardel in the 65th minute of play. CA Portugália's Barry Gunn was substituted for Mario Jesus Jardel. Serafino Gaitano made in the 69th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fernandinho Barral, made in the 70th minute of the game. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Gunn in the 74th minute of play. Alonso Berganza got a throw-in 76 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Moises Gayoso. Julian Murillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luz Tejedor got free with Rogério Soberano in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alonso Berganza made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Eliseo Alcocer immediately put the ball in play. Serafino Gaitano kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
