With a little luck, Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel got control of the ball when Carter George tried to sneak it across the goal line. Canada's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Koby Wright in the 16th minute. In the 23rd minute Jan Dixon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregor Kobel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gregor Kobel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Dixon in the 48th minute. After the first half Espen Steelers were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Koby Wright to strike the kick off in the second half. Gregor Kobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan Dixon, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd minute of the match Canada got a corner. Espen Steelers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Koby Wright ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Espen Steelers's goalie and right to Luka Harris. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Espen Steelers's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 58 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Mccarthy came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Canada's Jax Williamson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stan Wawrinka in the 63rd minute of play. Gregor Kobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Dixon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Nino Schurter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the match, Espen Steelers's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Dixon came free, but Gregor Kobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 80thth minute of the game Filip Edwards who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Espen Steelers's Gregor Kobel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Richard Mccarthy made a precise shot to the right of Gregor Kobel. Espen Steelers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Prince Anderson got a throw-in 85 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jan Dixon. Jan Dixon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gregor Kobel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregor Kobel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Edwards in the 93rd minute of the match.
